Community Involvement
 |
The members of Family of Faith have a commitment to make a positive
difference in our community in the name of Jesus Christ. Here are some of the projects and
organizations in which we participate. |
 |

Charlotte Chapter of 'Threads of Love'
Threads of Love is a national sewing charity that seeks to share God's love
and comfort to those in the community who are dealing with an infant death,
pregnancy loss or premature and/or hospitalized infant. Meetings are held
the 3rd Saturday of each month. Our local Charlotte Area chapter is
sponsored by Family of Faith, but is a true community effort, with over 100
volunteers from all around the area, not just members of our congregation.
All are welcome and encouraged to get involved! Our volunteers are from
all walks of life, but are bound by a desire to help others who are hurting.

Cabarrus Family Promise
We are a supporting congregation of Cabarrus Family Promise. The Family
Promise Network will consist of fourteen churches, which serve as host churches.
These churches open their doors for one week a quarter to the families that are
in the network. The churches provide dinner for the quest, entertainment or
educational events, worship opportunities, a place to sleep, a quick breakfast,
and a bag of lunch for the next day. Support churches, (that are unable to serve
as hosts due to space limitations), help the host congregations with volunteers
and food preparation. For more information visit:

The Gideons International was founded in 1899 and has more
than 236,000 members, located in 179 countries of the world. They are united
in carrying out the same program using the same methods to accomplish the
one objective of winning others to Christ.
Annually, The Gideons International is placing and distributing more than
59,000,000 Scriptures worldwide. To God be the glory! This averages one
million copies of the Word of God placed every seven days, or 112 per
minute!
A non-profit organization, The Gideons International is generously
supported by pastors and churches, who realize that presenting people with
the gospel message is an indispensable element in winning people to Christ.
Every dollar contributed by members of the churches is used to make it
possible for others to have their very own copy of God's Word.
Family of Faith hosts a Gideons Representative annually for a temple talk
about the wonderful work of this Christian organization. For more
information visit the Gideons International website:
